Students were given specific topics. After briefly reading and researching their given topic, they were asked to find an aspect of it that interests them and that they would like to further investigate. They could either strictly stick to the exact subject at hand, or choose to explore only one of its themes. They framed and conceptualized this aspect in a way that would follow the format of a ‘How to…’ tutorial. Then, they gathered and sorted material related to their tutorials. Finally, students designed websites to share these resources using HTML and CSS.
